Pyrolox is renowned for its exceptional ability to tackle a variety of water quality issues effectively. Primarily, Pyrolox is employed for the removal of troublesome contaminants such as iron and manganese. As a catalyst, it facilitates the oxidation of these metals, causing them to precipitate and be subsequently removed from the water. This transformative process results in a significant enhancement in water quality, eliminating unsightly discolouration and unpleasant odours caused by these impurities.
Pyrolox is also able to remove trace contaminants such as arsenic and hydrogen sulfide. Pyrolox operates most effectively within a pH range of 6.5 to 9.0. To maximise its performance, it is recommended to use Pyrolox in systems that do not have pre-oxidised water feeds. Achieving this can be done through a dedicated aeration vessel.
